Reproduction Guidelines
 
All material on Native History Magazine is copyrighted. Articles may printed for personal or instructional use as long as the article or web page is printed in its entirety including the notice of copyright found on each page.
 
If you are interested in using any material on a website or published in any other manner, you must contact Native History for permission. All our contributors of original material retain full copyright and may not be reproduced without their permission.
Review Copies 
Publishers and authors who wish to submit books for review, need to contact the Editor

Classified Ads
 
General
Ads will be inserted within 72 hours of receipt of payment. You will be notified via email, return receipt requested, of the ad's insertion . Read your ad on the first day it appears. Report any errors within 24 hours. If you do not "return" a receipt for our email within 24 hours, your ad will be deleted. There will be an additional charge of $10 for reinsertion.
 
Native History Magazine assumes no financial responsibility for errors or omission of copy. Liability for errors shall not exceed charge for the space occupied by the error or for more than one insertion.
 
Native History will make every effort to publish only those ads that seem credible and reserves the right to classify, revise, decline. or cancel any advertisement at any time. Native History is a family-oriented site and will not knowingly publish advertising related to adult or pornographic materials. If such an ad "slips through" it will be deleted when discovered. Such an ad will be considered fraud perpetrated by the submitter and there will be no refund! In addition, we will notify the FCC!
 
Rates
 
Individuals
$10 a month payable in advance for upto 30 words. Additional words are five cents each. This rate is for personal website individuals only -- no corporations. There is an additional charge of $5 for each revision after the first 24 hours of insertion. Cancelled ads are not prorated. Minimum charge after 24-hour initial review is $10.
 
Penny-pincher rates for personal websites. Buy three months in advance and receive the fourth month free. There is no reduction in rate for early cancellation.
 
Corporate Ads
Corporate ads include commercial, real estate for sale or rent, financial and as determined by ad copy. Rates are $150 per month for up to 50 words, payable in advance with the fourth month free. There is no reduction in rate for early cancellation. Additional words are $1 each. There is an additional charge of $20 for each revision after the first 24 hours of insertion. Cancelled ads are billed for the months run and the minimum charge is $150. For contract rate, contact the editor. .
 
Service Ads
Service ads are published under category headings and run for a minimum of 30 days. No corrections or cancellations after the 24-hour review period. Rate is $25 per month for up to 50 words, payable in advance. Additional words are $1 each.
 
Payment Methods
All payments are made through PayPal. Visa and MasterCard are also accepted via PayPal. Unlike many pay-online services, there are no additional charges for PayPal services. Just click on the PayPal link to make your payment.

Subscription Information

Hey, Native History Magazine is free! If you click the "Update" link on the right-hand side of of the Tripod advertising banner, Tripod will let you know when we update a particular resource page. That way you can always stay up to date! We knew those Tripod ads would come in handy.
Contributor's Guidelines

Writers and artists who want to contribute to Native History need to follow these guidelines:

Types of Submissions
We are looking for book reviews, primary-source articles, well-documented contemporary articles addressing general Native or tribal-specific history, photos or links to photos, and links to high-quality tribal and tribal history websites. To be considered, your submission must meet the standards of our Mission. (See the Mission section for details.)
 
Articles
Articles must be submitted via email. Include all the text in the body of the email message. No HTML codes, please! Attachments are not accepted. Let us know who is the author of the article and provide contact information for the author so we can obtain reprint permission.
 
Authors are given a byline and are listed as a contributing writers in our "Staff" section. All authors retain full copyright to their work. By submitting an article and providing reprint permission, you grant "Native History Magazine" the right to publish  the article on this website as an educational resource in perpetuity. At present, the payment for original articles is the fame and glory of having your article and byline in electronic print. We hope future revenues will allow us to provide authors monetary renumeration.
 
Links
If you are submitting a link to NH, please describe the content on the website. The site will be reviewed by our Editorial Board and will be considered for inclusion in our Resource Links section. Please allow at least two weeks for the board members to review your site. Submitted links that are considered by the Editorial Board to be primarily links to sales or services will not be included as resource links. You must use the Classified Ads and pay for sales or service links. Requests for review of denials may be submitted via email. Native History does not link to Webrings.
